Gym Upgrade Works
Your gym is getting an upgrade.
The gym will be closed from Friday 11 April 2025 to Thursday 17 April 2025 for upgrade works.
In preparation of the works we've prepared the following frequently asked questions.

When is the gym closed?
The gym at Craigie will be closed from Friday 11 April – Thursday 17 April 2025 (inclusive).
Craigie Leisure Centre will also be closed on Friday 18 April 2025 for Good Friday (as per our normal Easter operating hours).
The gym will reopen to members and customers from 6.30am Saturday 19 April 2025.
What are the Easter Opening Hours?
Please be advised that the gym closure will take place in the week leading up to the Easter long weekend, and we will be operating with reduced hours on Sunday 20 April and Monday 21 April 2025.

Will PLATINUM CIRCUIT Classes still be available?
No. All small group training classes normally held in the gym will be cancelled during this time (including Omnia, Boxing, Platinum Omnia and Platinum Circuit).
When will the gym reopen?
The gym will reopen to members and customers from 6.30am Saturday 19 April 2025.
What works are being completed?
- Replacement of the gym flooring to a thicker, higher-quality and longer lasting product.
- Roof works to rectify minor repairs.
- General repairs and maintenance.
These works will ensure we can continue to provide you with state-of-the-art facilities.
Why are we closing the gym?
While we understand the gym closure will be an inconvenience to members, the works that need to be completed require the gym to be closed. The closure will allow works to be completed quickly, safely and with less disruptions to members than if we attempted the upgrade works while the gym remained open.
Will my membership be adjusted for the closure?
An adjustment will be made to your membership to reflect the closure period Friday 11 April – Thursday 17 April 2025 and the reduction of facilities/services during this time. You have been sent an email from Craigie Leisure Centre with how your membership has been adjusted.
Can I suspend my Membership?
If you do not wish to attend the facility during the closure period, you can suspend your membership for free for seven days. Please note, if you choose to suspend your membership, you will not have access to any other areas of the centre.
A Member Request Form will need to be completed by Thursday 10 April 2025 in order for the suspension to be applied.
